When I first considered going to grad school, I was unsure about the decision. However, with the support of Gies, I was able to commit, and I couldn’t be more grateful to continue my education and for all the support I’ve received. I look back on my time at Gies—a place filled with memories that I will treasure forever. This journey introduced me to some of the most amazing bunch of people who’ve helped me grow multifold & shared some of the greatest-of-all-time memories! Juggling classes, Illinois Business Consulting (IBC) activities, the curriculum, and somersaulting with part-time jobs was challenging, but the support of my friends around made it all possible.

I chose the MSTM program at Gies because I wanted to enhance my knowledge in strategic development and also innovative solutions. I am loving my Social Media Strategy class because it's a very hands-on experience. I underestimated the class a little bit at first, but the professor goes in depth about what the internet is and how it affects our daily lives, bringing in real-life examples.

Coming from a technical background, I was looking for a blend between business, technology, and leadership. The Master’s in Technology Management at Gies is the perfect blend of all three. It allows you to design the program according to your choices. The case studies, simulation games, group works, and presentations make you more adaptable to working in teams and provide you with opportunities to take the lead as well.

I’m very grateful for the Action Learning Courses as they not only guide me toward my career goals, but also help me develop as a person. I’m getting a glimpse into what it takes to thrive in the consulting industry. These courses have given me an opportunity to put my critical thinking skills to the test and deliver valuable insights to clients. I’m constantly learning how to confront and deal with people in high-stress complex situations.
