Gies College of Business master’s in management (MSM) student Kashief King had never set foot in the United States, let alone visited campus, when he arrived as a freshman on the University of Illinois’ track and field team. Now, nearly five years after that day, King is on the verge of graduating with two degrees, a Big Ten championship, and one of the greatest honors a citizen of Trinidad & Tobago can earn.
