Mark Roszkowski, ’71 and professor of business administration, passes away
Mark Roszkowski, emeritus professor of business administration, passed away March 16, 2016. He earned a BS in accountancy in 1971 and a JD in 1975, both from the University of Illinois. He passed the bar in 1975 and began teaching at Illinois that same year.
He was most known for teaching courses in business law, antitrust law, and the legal environment of business. His research focused on commercial laws, including contracts and Uniform Commercial Code, particularly sales, bankruptcy, antitrust law, tort law, agency law, and products liability.
Among his honors, he received the Champaign-Urbana Jaycees' Outstanding College Educator Award in 1988, the Commerce Alumni Association's Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award in 1979-80, and the University of Illinois' Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award in 1979-80.
