The sky’s the limit for Finance alumna Stephanie Cohen

The list of achievements next to Stephanie Cohen’s, ’99 FIN, name can be rivaled by very few at Goldman Sachs, and, according to Crain’s Chicago Business, she is just getting started.

The publication recently detailed her ascent at the multinational investment bank and financial services company. Starting as an analyst after graduation, Cohen most recently earned a spot on the company’s illustrious management committee. This comes on the heels of a new chief executive officer named by the company, and follows her work as chief strategy officer since the beginning of the year.

Prior to this position, Cohen served Goldman in a number of roles, including: global head of Financial Sponsor Mergers & Acquisitions in the Investment Banking Division (IBD); sector captain for General Industrials in the Global Industrials Group and a member of the mergers & Acquisitions Group in IBD; manager for Conflicts and Business Selection for IBD in the Americas; vice president in the Industrials and Merger Leadership Groups. She was named managing director in 2008 and partner in 2014. Just this past May, Cohen came back to Gies College of Business for the 2018 Spring Luncheon and received the Distinguished Alumna Award. At just 41 years old, Crain’s also quoted others who believe Cohen is destined for even more.
