The Department of Accountancy announces that Brian McKeown, BS ’15 and MAS ’16, will be returning to the College of Business at the University of Illinois to speak about his yearlong assistantship with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), which is recognized by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as the designated accounting standard setter for U.S. public companies. McKeown will give insight into his experiences at the University of Illinois and his time as a Postgraduate Technical Assistant at the FASB. McKeown’s term began in the Summer of 2016 and will conclude this June.
The presentation will take place on Monday, April 10th, from 4 to 5 pm in the Deloitte Auditorium.
