ESG transparency and the decline of investment efficiency

Yifei Lu joined Gies from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School, where he earned his PhD and master’s degree. He is teaching a graduate course, ACCY 570: Data Analytics Foundations, this fall and will pursue interdisciplinary research with an interest in areas outside of traditional accounting, like environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.

2023 Spring Luncheon

Every year since 1960, the Gies College of Business family has met in Chicago to honor faculty and alumni achievements at the annual Spring Luncheon. We are excited to continue the tradition! The luncheon will recognize the recipients of the Excellence-in-Teaching Awards, the Gies College of Business Appreciation Award, and the Gies College of Business Distinguished Alumnus Award.

 

The Gies Business Alumni Association and Gies Business invite you to join us for the 2023 Spring Luncheon, featuring keynote speaker Lara Waldrop, Associate Professor and Y.T. Lo Fellow in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Grainger College of Engineering.

During the program, we will celebrate Gies College of Business and the University of Illinois, and we will recognize distinguished faculty and alumni with the Excellence-in-Teaching Awards, the Gies College of Business Distinguished Alumnus Award, and the Gies College of Business Appreciation Award.
