Joseph Mahoney Wins 2025 Dan and Mary Lou Schendel Best Paper Prize
The Schendel Prize honors work that has had lasting influence on management teaching, research, and practice. Mahoney received the award for his paper “Modularity, Flexibility, and Knowledge Management in Product and Organization Design."

Gies Homecoming Celebration
Homecoming is an important part of the storied history of the University of Illinois. The first homecoming was at Illinois. As we begin to emerge from the pandemic, this time to celebrate tradition is particularly precious. We hope you will take time this year to join us in both celebrating Homecoming and renewing those lifelong connections you made with the College.
We have a variety of events listed below that we hope you can join, highlighted by our signature event, the Gies Homecoming Business Bash at 4 pm on Friday, hosted by the Gies Business Alumni Association, that brings together alumni, faculty, and staff. We can’t wait to see you again. Go Illini!

Join Access and Multicultural Engagement in the Gies Undergraduate Affairs Office for their Second Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on the patio of the new Siebel Center for Design building and on the Sixth Street Lawn. Enjoy Latin Dance workshops, Latin Jazz Music, extended hours at the Krannert Art Museum, and delicious food from local Hispanic-owned food truck vendors! Join us for a wonderful celebration of our Hispanic and Latinx community!
