W. Brooke Elliott joined Gies College of Business as a faculty member in 2003. She is a recognized expert in the accounting field, and her work has been cited in popular press outlets ranging from Fortune to The Wall Street Journal. She currently serves on the board of directors and audit committee for Gordon Food Service.
Previously, Elliott served as the executive associate dean of academic programs and EY Professor in Gies College of Business. She provided strategic oversight of the Gies Business portfolio of academic degree and nondegree programs. This includes undergraduate, on-campus graduate, and online programs, as well as Teaching & Learning and the Office of Student and Corporate Connections.
Prior to that role, Elliott served as associate dean of online programs, where she was responsible for the development and execution of Gies Business’ strategy in online education. She has also served as head of the Department of Accountancy in Gies Business, leading one of the most innovative and highly ranked accounting departments in the world.
She holds a BS in accounting and an MBA with an accounting focus from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. She earned her PhD in accounting from the University of Washington.
