Illinois International Accounting Symposia

The Symposium began in 1967 with the goal of fostering research in international accounting and populating the ranks of scholars who are interested in the field. Since 2003, the Symposium has been held abroad in collaboration with other universities to help benefit the talents of scholars in different regions of the world.

The Symposium has three objectives: (a) improving the quality of research through an in-depth discussion of ten papers, (b) learning additional research skills, and (c) helping to generate new ideas.

Given the current risk of travelling, the 2020 TIJA Symposium has been cancelled. The standard process will continue with the 2021 TIJA Symposium.
