Gies Giving Day
October 26

“This gift was never about the money or about the naming of the College; it was about a commitment to building the greatest business school on Earth – where purposeful leaders pursue their passion to make the world a better place.”

That’s what Larry Gies said it was all about on October 26, 2017, when he and his wife Beth Gies stood in the BIF atrium as their $150 million gift and the College naming were announced.

Gies Giving Day is not only a celebration, it’s also a day to honor the gift by encouraging our students, faculty, staff, and alumni to think about how they, too, can give back. No matter how much each individual is able to offer, the giving represents our collective commitment to educating purposeful leaders who make the world a better place.

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating and giving back this Gies Giving Day!

Online: Support Gies Business Emergency Scholarships

We are extremely grateful for the generosity of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends that have contributed to the Gies Emergency Scholarship Fund, which helps Gies Business students who are facing a personal financial crisis. The impact the COVID-19 pandemic has made on our economy has increased the need for this emergency funding, with many families facing uncertainties and hardships. In honor of Gies Giving Day, we continue to raise funds for emergency scholarships. Your support helps to ensure these students can continue their education uninterrupted.

Follow us on social media throughout the week as we share the impact scholarships have made in students' lives.
