In “Legal Issues in Entrepreneurship” we explore the legal issues that you will face as an entrepreneur in starting your own business. This will include topics dealing with the type of entity you should use to do business, hiring and firing employees without getting sued, founders agreements and initial equity splits, attracting experienced directors to sit on your board, raising money, how to protect your intellectual property rights, how to prevent your employees from starting a competing business, when you need lawyer, how to avoid everyday legal pitfalls in operating your start-up and much, much more. The class also provides you with actual sample documentation you can study and use to get your business off the ground! It is not enough to be an entrepreneur, you need to learn the ins and outs of legally implementing your entrepreneurial dream to make it thrive.
