There is also an additional International Student Fee of $35 that will assessed.

Deposit

Applicants offered admission to the program must submit a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 to reserve a spot in the program. This deposit is a partial payment of the fall tuition bill and will be credited to the tuition bill during the fall semester of classes. Instructions on how the deposit can be paid will be included in the admission offer notification. 

 

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Applicants are automatically considered for scholarships as part of the application process. We offer a number of scholarships, including:

Merit Scholarships

Your application for admission to the Gies MBA is also your application for a merit-based scholarship. All applicants are considered at the time of admission for awards ranging from $2,500 to full tuition; no additional application is required.

 

We Want You Back: The Illinois x 2 Scholarship

The Illinois x 2 Scholarship offers a 50% tuition reduction for the full length of the Gies MBA. This only applies to the full-time program, not the PMBA or iMBA. The scholarship is exclusively for University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign alumni who meet the following criteria:

  • Admitted to the Gies MBA
  • Hold an undergraduate or graduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
  • Minimum of two years of post-bachelor’s degree professional work experience
  • Competitive GMAT or GRE score (Note: “competitive” is in comparison with our current pool of applicants.)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3

Forté Fellows

A Forté Fellowship is an honor given to select female MBAs at participating business schools. Each fellow receives a generous scholarship from the Gies MBA. Forté is a consortium of major corporations and top business schools that has become a powerful change agent in educating and directing talented women toward leadership roles in business.
