We can’t wait to see you at iConverge 2024! We know you’ll enjoy this opportunity to visit campus and meet others in your program.
At Gies, our programs are designed to shape purposeful leaders through innovation and life changing access to education. This year at iConverge, we will focus on how we can understand our leadership skills and enhance them to lead by example and empower others.
Agenda
We are hard at work developing programs for iConverge. Check back this summer to learn about all the awesome activities we have planned for you. Everything kicks off at 3:00 pm on September 5 and continues all day Friday, with the last day of iConverge the morning of Saturday, September 7.
This page will get loaded with everything you need to make the most of your iConverge experience. It will be your main source for all things iConverge – now and throughout the event!

Enjoy a Fighting Illini football game!
At iConverge, you have an option to attend the Fighting Illini football game versus the University of Kansas on Saturday, September 7. Ticket information for this event will come later this summer.
- Parking: The best single game parking would be in Research Park. It is $20 in advance or $25 the day of the game.
- Tailgate: Our tent will be located on the corner of Kirby and Oak in Lot 31. We will have details and maps located in the program.
- Clear bag policy: The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics enforces a clear bag policy for entrance into Memorial Stadium. Each ticketed guest is permitted to carry one (1) clear plastic or vinyl bag or one, one-gallon clear plastic or Ziplock bag. Bring only necessary items into Memorial Stadium. All bags are subject to search and inspection. Full policy details and bag dimensions are available here. Please note that you will receive a complimentary clear bag as one of your gifts for attending iConverge.
Transportation and Parking
Free parking is available off First Street in the northwest and southwest lots of State Farm Center, where you should have no problem finding a spot.
A shuttle will be available on Friday, September 6, to take you from the State Farm Center to BIF. Please note that the Shuttle will take you to a group dinner after the afternoon session. The shuttle will go back to the State Farm Center at the end of the day.
Parking around campus may be a bit trickier. Parking spaces around the Business Instructional Facility (BIF) are metered. You can pay by app. You may want to consider Uber/Lyft/cab rides.

Gies Merchandise
You will have the opportunity to purchase Gies-branded merchandise on Friday afternoon at the Business Instructional Facility. In partnership with Campus Ink, Gies has also launched an online store featuring exclusive Gies merchandise.
Lodging
We encourage you to book your hotel as soon as possible because there is the football game and other university events scheduled that same weekend as iConverge. Hotel reservations are the responsibility of each attendee. We suggest the following hotels, which are close to campus.
Alumni
Though intended for current students, our alumni are always welcome to attend iConverge, either for the full event or for part of it. It’s a great way to interact with our current students and give them insights from your experience, as well as opportunities for you to reconnect with fellow alumni and your favorite professors!
We will share more details about the alumni focused activities as soon as they are confirmed.
Dress Code
Smart casual. We will be rocking jeans, Illini gear, and a jacket.
Registration
iConverge is open to Gies iDegree learners and alumni and to MBA alumni. To register follow the link that was sent to you email. Due to capacity, guests cannot participates in sessions or events.
